Police must regularly look after animals whose owners are in custody. It is not uncommon for them to end up in animal shelters. But there are other solutions.

AAs the search continues for the gunman who allegedly shot a man in a bar in the Nieder-Eschbach district of Frankfurt a few days ago, police have released what is believed to be the only photo of the alleged perpetrator that was quickly found. It shows the accused Hans-Jürgen B. sitting in a garden chair with a cat on his lap. While petting the animal, he laughs at the camera.

Looking at the picture, one could almost forget what the 40-year-old man from Frankfurt is accused of. Therefore, the focus is on the cat, which happily stretches its head upwards in the photo – and which, especially from the point of view of animal lovers, does not seem suitable for the picture with the suspected murderer.
