Fans first got a glimpse of the highlighter colored skates when Paparazzi caught Gosling and Robbie filming along Venice Beach in California last summer, both dressed in vibrant ’80s-inspired outfits and identical skates. The retro skates also make a hilarious cameo in the trailer for “Barbie” that dropped back in April. In the clip, Robbie’s Barbie asks Gosling’s Spray Tan Ken“Did you bring your skates?”, to which he matter-of-factly replies, “I literally don’t go anywhere without them,” holding them up by the laces as proof.

The entire “Barbie” skate capsule will be available to purchase at Impala stores, on the brand’s websiteand on zappos.com starting June 1.
