The question of Tariq’s fate has been a topic of discussion ever since Starz first announced its spinoff series. Many believe he will ultimately suffer the same end as his father for trying to lead a double life as a legitimate businessman and drug lord. As he states many times throughout the show, Tariq hates the idea of ​​becoming his father and has done everything possible not to repeat his same mistakes, only to end up in similar situations.

So does that mean that he will eventually answer for his crimes and misdeeds with his own life as well? Right now, it’s unclear, but we do know that Tariq lives to see the fourth season, which is already on the way. However, creator Kemp may have dropped a little hint as to what could eventually happen to Tariq if he continues down the path he’s on. “There were a lot of people who would have preferred Ghost to have a happy ending and walk off into the sunset triumphantly,” he told EW, reflecting on Ghost’s death. “I felt uncomfortable having a character do so many horrible things and not having regrets and not having to punish him for it.”

For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if Tariq receives the same punishment.
