The 32 entrants who will battle for the title at the 2024 PDC World Matchplay from 13-21 July have been determined. Two Germans have secured a ticket.
The World Matchplay seeds are led by reigning world champion Luke Humphries, who is looking to add to his ever-expanding trophy cabinet. Michael van Gerwen will only be able to face Humphries in the final, as the 35-year-old is second on the seeding list.
Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross, Dave Chisnall, Dimitri Van den Bergh, Peter Wright, Jonny Clayton, Damon Heta, Danny Noppert, Ross Smith, Chris Dobey, Joe Cullen and Stephen Bunting are the other players in the top 16 of the Order of Merit. They will be paired with a player who qualified for the World Matchplay via the Pro Tour in the draw on Thursday 4 July.
Gary Anderson, Josh Rock, Ryan Searle, Martin Schindler, Gian van Veen, Luke Littler, Ricardo Pietreczko, Daryl Gurney, Ryan Joyce, Raymond van Barneveld, Brendan Dolan, Ritchie Edhouse, Krzysztof Ratajski, Luke Woodhouse, Andrew Gilding and James Wade have secured their places on the Pro Tour Order of Merit.
The World Matchplay entry list includes five debutants: van Veen, Littler, Pietreczko, Edhouse and Woodhouse, who will all be competing for the first time at Blackpool's famous Winter Gardens.
The draw for the World Matchplay will take place on Thursday evening 4 July. A few days later, the PDC will announce the schedule for the prestigious major tournament.
