“Whore” the rapper at Gunna the return to rap was not easy. Still, he at least managed to land on several peaks music charts with the release of his latest album, A gift and a curse. However, hundreds of hip-hop fans are refusing to support Gunna due to rumors that he attacked the head of his label Young Stoner Life, Young thug (real name Jeffery Lamar Williams). Considering Young Thug is still behind bars as he fights the YSL RICO case opposed to him, he did not make many public statements.
On the other hand, Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Lamar Williams Sr., more affectionately known as Big Jeff, has remained vocal in the press. In an interview with YouTuber Infamous Sylvia, Big Jeff spoke out in support of Gunna, putting to rest rumors of the rapper being a snitch.
When asked what he thought of Gunna, he replied, “I like Gunna.” Shortly after viewers flooded the video’s message board to ask for clarification on claims that Gunna had dumped his son, he responded: “Let me try to help the lawyer clarify this a a little more simply. Gunna has done nothing to harm us in this matter, period.
Later in the interview, Williams Sr. said he felt Gunna had been railroaded and encouraged him to get back into releasing music to help bring in money for the YSL label. Gunna was indicted as a co-defendant in the YSL RICO case, but when she was offered a plea agreement in Decemberhe said so and was released shortly after.
