Federal Economy Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) will present the federal government's spring forecasts on Wednesday (2:15 p.m.) in Berlin. Growth expectations for this year are expected to be revised slightly upwards, specifically to an increase in gross domestic product of 0.3 percent.

In February, the government slashed its forecast to growth of just 0.2 percent. An increase of 1.3 percent was expected in the autumn forecasts. The German economy is in “difficult waters,” Habeck said in February. “We are emerging from the crisis more slowly than expected.”
