Three people died in a fire at their home on Wednesday. A day later, the fourth woman died from her severe injuries, the police said. A fifth person is still being treated.
EAnother woman died in a house fire in Markgröningen (Ludwigsburg district). That brings the death toll to four, police and prosecutors said Monday. The 33-year-old woman died in hospital on Thursday.
A fire broke out in the apartment building on Wednesday evening last week. According to the police, the cause of the fire remained unclear on Monday. Firefighters found three bodies in the house on Wednesday. They were two 38- and 68-year-old women and a 32-year-old man. The woman who died on Thursday and another person were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The condition of the person in the hospital was unclear Monday.
Due to heavy smoke, two neighboring buildings were also damaged. They had to be evacuated on Wednesday. All buildings can now be re-entered.
The forensic investigation has been completed and the investigation into the cause of the fire continues. The damage is said to be around 700,000 euros.
