QKing Charles III has left hospital after several days of treatment for an enlarged prostate. The British head of state was released on Monday after a scheduled procedure, Buckingham Palace said.
According to the British royal family, he will not appear in public for the time being. Initially, it was not known how long the king would have to recover.
The King thanked his doctors and everyone who accompanied him during his hospital stay. He is “grateful for all the kind messages he has received over the past few days.”
Charles underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate. He was taken to the clinic on Friday and stayed there for three nights.
His wife, Queen Camilla, visited the monarch three times at a private clinic in London on Sunday alone, British media reported on Monday. The 76-year-old woman smiled as she left the building in the evening. On Friday, he announced that the king was doing well after the procedure.
Kate also shot
Princess Kate was also released from hospital on Monday after stomach surgery. The wife of Britain's heir to the throne, Prince William, has left a London clinic and returned home to Windsor, Kensington Palace said. The 42-year-old's recovery is progressing well.
Princess Catherine – commonly known as Kate – underwent elective abdominal surgery at a private clinic in London on January 16, according to the palace. The royal family did not provide any further information on the reasons for the proceedings.
A palace statement at the time said the Princess of Wales would remain in hospital for “ten to 14 days before continuing her recovery at home”. He “is not likely to return to his public duties until Easter.”
Kate turned 42 on January 9. She has three children with Prince William, the eldest son of the British King Charles III: ten-year-old George, eight-year-old Charlotte and five-year-old Louis.
Princess Kate is one of the most popular and most photographed members of the British Royal Family. She often appears with her husband William, but she also increasingly has her own duties as a representative of the royal family.
