New position for former CDU politician Stefan Mappus, 58: According to Focus magazine, the former Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg has returned with a new position at the interface between politics and business.

Former Prime Minister Mappus is the new CEO of a consulting company

Mappus is now CEO of the consulting company “Eutop Group”, based in Munich and with 150 employees. Many large German companies and associations rely on their services. Mappus will now bring its “rich experience” to them, according to the official statement. In this way, the lobbying company reinforces “excellence in the field of process-oriented political defense,” Klemens Joos, founder, partner and president of the advisory board of Eutop, tells Focus. Mappus began his career in sales at Siemens before entering politics, first as state secretary, then as minister, leader of the CDU parliamentary group and finally prime minister in Stuttgart. After leaving politics in 2011, he recently worked for an IT company.
