Anya Elsner made serious accusations about her mother Katrin in “Jungle Camp”. The former “Germany's Next Top Model” candidate explained to fellow camper Sarah Kern, 56, that she had “no relationship at all” with her mother and did not feel loved by her. In a major “aftermath”, the 20-year-old rowed back and publicly apologized. However, the person Anya did not apologize to was the one who was directly affected by the accusations – namely her mother herself. BUNTE.de reached Katrin Elsner for an interview.

The 46-year-old woman speaks calmly, but you can still feel her remorse. Katrin Elsner didn't even see her daughter Anya's settlement live, as she tells BUNTE.de: “Because the jungle camp comes so late, I always watched it until the next day. That day, my cell phone rang at seven in the morning – and it didn't stop ringing all day. ” Friends and family said he was “shocked” by his daughter Anya's comments. When Katrin Elsner watches the scenes herself, she is “deeply saddened and shocked”.
Anya Elsner is lonely
In “Jungle Camp” (RTL), Anya quickly became unpopular with her fellow contestants and the audience at home. What really “surprised” her mother Katrin: “She said she wanted to show another side of herself.” Already on the show “Germany's Next Top Model” (GNTM), the young model catapulted herself to the side with resentment and competitive thinking. “I told her at the time that she is not very empathetic. But she wanted to stand by it,” Katrin Elsner explains to BUNTE.de. The project assistant describes her only daughter as “very emotional” – according to the 46-year-old woman, she plays “a big role ” also Anya's age. Previously, she was not offended by her behavior at school, “only during training did she become lonely.” The break between mother and daughter came during Anya's puberty.

When asked if Katrin Elsner could pinpoint the turning point in her relationship with her daughter Anya, she immediately answered: “Yes. It was two things: I started smoking and I left her father. He cheated on me for 14 years. I took him back three times, but it didn't stop .I was menopausal at the time, Anya was a teenager, so two teenage girls got together. She still can't understand why Anya broke up with her.
Katrin Elsner 'not buying her daughter Anya's excuse'
Although Anya rowed back after the hurtful revelations about her in the “jungle camp”, insisting that she is “sorry from the heart”, Katrin Elsner does not really want to buy her daughter's remorse. “I suspect his management said so, so he should apologize. Unfortunately, I didn't buy it from him.” Anya also said her mother threatened to sue her if she spoke about him. BUNTE.de's Katrin Elsner explains: “It is true that there is a court case on the horizon. But there are other issues at stake that Anya didn't even address at camp. Of course I don't want to sue my child, but he turned me into an animal abuser and that's just wrong.

In her mother's eyes, Anya is also not in good hands with her current management: “I think she should change management. Anya publicly apologized on television, but not to me. By the way, I'm still blocked everywhere.”

Even if mother and daughter are now worlds apart, Katrin Elsner does not give up hope for reconciliation. “My biggest wish is for Anya to contact me. For her to call me and we can talk. I hope that one day she will understand that cigarettes and breakups are not the reason for this. Until then, my door is always open. She can ring the bell, she may come. I won't give up hope. He is my only child, I love him no matter what.
