Ann-Kathrin Bendixen's life was in danger after the operation

At just 19 years old, Ann-Kathrin had to deal with a twist of fate – her personal nightmare was caused by a harmless sinus infection. After the surgery, there was scar tissue, mucus and pus growing in his eye.

Ann-Kathrin went blind for a few days and was even in danger of dying when the inflammation spread to her brain. The now 24-year-old describes the experience as a “turning point” in her life. Considering his transience, Bendixen decided, “When I die, I want to die happy.” The “7 vs. Wild” actor describes it as the start of his trip around the world.
