Apparently, father and son have not seen each other since the coronation

The palace surprisingly announced on Monday night that the 75-year-old monarch is suffering from cancer. He is said to have personally delivered the news to his sons William and Harry and his siblings.

Harry and his father Charles' relationship with other royal relatives is believed to be strained. The king's younger son and his wife Duchess Meghan (42) left the inner circle of the royal family four years ago. They now live in the US state of California with their two children, Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2). According to The Telkegraph, Harry and his father have not seen each other since the coronation in May 2023.

According to information from DPA on Monday, Harry wanted to travel to Great Britain “in the coming days” to be by his father's side. This now seems to have come to light more quickly than first thought.

Princess Anne is there

Princess Anne, sister of King Charles, presented the orders and medals at Windsor Castle on Tuesday. The Princess Royal, as her official title is, is considered a very busy member of the British Royal Family, and is likely to be even more in demand after the King's cancer diagnosis. The 73-year-old smiled and chatted with the honorees, British news agency PA reported in the evening.
