After four years at Eintracht Frankfurt, Daichi Kamada (27) left last summer the Bundesliga towards Lazio Rome. The Japanese signed a one-year contract with the Serie A club with a rather strange clause.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (31) now revealed on Platform X: “Daichi Kamada will decide on his future in the coming weeks because there is a special clause in his contract.”

Serie A: Daichi Kamada with a strange contract clause

This clause probably reads as follows: if Kamada pays 100 euros to the club at the end of May, his contract with Lazio will be extended until 2027. It is currently unknown how this strange agreement came about.

If he does not do so, the 27-year-old player will be able to leave the club for free. Such a situation has probably never existed in professional football.

According to rumors, Kamada would earn around 12 million euros with the Italians over the next three years. The 100 euros would be a lucrative investment for the former Frankfurter.

From a sporting point of view things are not going particularly well for the midfielder. In the current season, Kamada has appeared on the field 32 times for Lazio, but has only started four times.

He could only score one goal, so he is probably not satisfied with his current situation.

Last summer, Eintracht received around 27 million euros for the Japanese. According to transfermarkt.de, his market value has fallen to 15 million euros. A final decision on its future is still pending.
