Thomas Tuchel's intermezzo ends no later than June 30 FC Bayern. Many fans, media and experts doubt that the Munich coach will stay at Säbener Straße for so long. According to constant reports, Bayern officials do not rule out an immediate expulsion if the sporting situation worsens even further.
With the 2-1 victory against RB Leipzig Tuchel and his team have put an end to the negative trend of recent weeks. However, the gap to league leaders Leverkusen is eight points. The championship no longer seems to be within our reach this season. The last (real) hope for a title is the Champions League. But there is also a danger of elimination there after the 0-1 defeat against Lazio Rome in the first leg of the round of 16.
New details about Tuchel's separation
Bayern have reportedly decided not to immediately part ways with Tuchel due to a lack of suitable alternatives on the coaching market. The interesting thing is that this option was still on the table. At least that's what Sky presenter Sebastian Hellmann claims.
This was revealed as part of the Bundesliga-Summit match against Leipzig that Bayern offered Tuchel to leave the club immediately: “Thomas, you can leave now or in May,” Hellmann explained. The Bayern coach did not want to comment after the match: “No comments. I don't know where you got your information from. “It’s still a one-on-one conversation.”
Tuchel: “Don't think I'm the only problem”
However, Tuchel made it clear before the game against Leipzig that he could no longer avoid his departure from Bayern: “I'm not sure if I had the option to decide that. I am an employee of the club. I see him as very professional and sober. This is a professional sport at the highest level. In the end it doesn't matter what I want.”
The 50-year-old also emphasized that he does not consider himself solely responsible for Bayern's misery this season: “I don't think it's the only problem, but I am responsible. I do not have any problem with that.”
