IA 114-year-old man, who was considered the world's oldest man from 2022, died in Venezuela. “Juan Vicente Pérez Mora has passed away for eternity at the age of 114,” Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro said on the X network service on Tuesday (local time).

On February 4, 2022, Guinness World Records officially confirmed Pérez as the oldest man on earth. The Venezuelan was 112 years and 253 days old at the time.

Pérez leaves behind a rich progeny. The father of 11 children had a total of 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, according to 2022 data.

The farmer, known as Tio Vicente, was born on May 27, 1909, in El Cobres, Andean state of Táchira, the ninth of ten children.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, at the age of five, he started helping his father and brothers in agriculture, such as harvesting sugarcane and coffee.
