Thyssenkrupp Nucera sales increase by a good third

Sales increased in the first quarter (end of December) by more than a third to 208.3 million euros, according to the subsidiary of the industrial group Thyssenkrupp. announced in Dortmund. However, the costs of expanding the hydrogen business weigh on profitability. Thyssenkrupp Nucera posted a loss before interest and tax (EBIT) of €0.9 million, following a profit of €11 million a year ago.

The bottom line is that Thyssenkrupp Nucera was still in the black thanks to a higher financial result due to increased interest income. The net result amounted to 2.8 million euros. A year ago the company raised 8.5 million euros.

Optimistic outlook for the rest of the year

The electrolysis specialist confirmed its annual forecast and expects sales growth of around double digits. Thyssenkrupp Nucera still expects operating losses (EBIT) of around double digits in millions of euros.

The figures were well received by investors. During the morning, shares of Thyssenkrupp Nucera rose by almost five percent.
