There are delays and cancellations on the train line between Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart. According to Deutsche Bahn, the reason for the disturbances lasting until the evening hours is metal theft.
EOn Monday morning, many long-distance trains between Frankfurt and Stuttgart were canceled due to metal thieves. Deutsche Bahn (DB) said the theft was discovered in the morning on the route between Mannheim main station in Baden-Württemberg and Lampertheim in Hesse. Accordingly, the problem is unlikely to be resolved before the evening. Further details were not initially known.
DB expected delays and partial cancellations in long-distance and regional transport. According to information, all ICE trains between Frankfurt and Stuttgart and individual ICE trains between Frankfurt – Stuttgart – Munich were affected. DB expected delays on the route Frankfurt – Mannheim.
Passengers are requested to notify themselves prior to travel.
