The search for a coach at Bayern is increasingly a farce. Following the rejection of Ralf Rangnick, the number of suitable candidates for the position in the record championship is decreasing. While bosses are categorically ruling out Tuchel staying, Bayern's stars are apparently committed to the 50-year-old staying.
After Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick has surprisingly written off Bayern. Additionally, Robert De Zerbi and Roger Schmidt are unavailable. Various options are currently being discussed on Säbener Straße. Recently, Thomas Tuchel's stay beyond the summer seemed possible again. Although Bayern's directors rule out this scenario, the… FCBstars apparently open to the idea.
The managers rule out Tuchel staying: “There is no possibility”
Apparently, Thomas Tuchel can imagine staying with the record champions in certain circumstances, as “Sky” reports. The recent accusations from Bayern skipper Uli Hoeneß do not necessarily make this scenario more likely, but further cooperation cannot be ruled out.
However, those responsible for Säbener Straße have no interest in further cooperation, as President Herbert Hainer stressed on Saturday: “The agreement remains valid. I am convinced that we will present a good coach. Now we have to wait and see what happens,” he explained on Saturday.
Sporting director Christoph Freund also stated that there is “no chance” of Tuchel staying.
Bayern stars defend Tuchel: “He has found access to the team”
The curious thing is that, unlike Hainer, Freund & Co., important key players of the record champion spoke out in favor of Tuchel remaining, including goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer, as reported by “Sky”.
Sky journalist Kerry Hau commented: “There is something between the team and the coach, there is harmony now. This is also noticeable on the field. It wasn't always like this. He has found access to the team and now they know him better.”
Who else would be an upgrade for Tuchel?
The Bayern expert also explained that after the cancellations of Alonso, Nagelsmann and Rangnick there would hardly be a better coach available than Tuchel: “Who would be an improvement for Tuchel? If we go over the names, who would do better?
