Kimmich has been repeatedly criticized by Bayern in recent months. The German international does not hide that the goal against Arsenal is a kind of satisfaction for him: “Of course, the goal is very, very good. I had to listen a lot last year and received very, very little support.”

Kimmich: “In the end, this proves once again that hard work always pays off. That's why I'm very proud that the night went the way it did and I'm very happy for the goal and for having reached the semifinals.”

Kimmich: “Hinz and Kunz commented on me personally”

When asked if by the lack of support he also meant the club and Bayern leaders, he replied: “Yes, in general. Hinz and Kunz commented on me personally. There were few people there who were in favor of Kimmich. So it would be really nice to be able to make sure the voices change again.”

There is still a big question mark over Kimmich's sporting future with the German champions. The contract expires in the summer of 2025 and so far there have been no concrete negotiations between the Club and the player. According to reports, Kimmich can surely imagine moving abroad at the end of the season.
