According to the newspaper “Bild”, the injuries are serious, but there is no danger to life. Team boss Ralph Denk said: “The accident was obviously not his fault. He collided with a car, according to my information it occurred while he was turning.”

Kämna, who has already won stages on the three big circuits Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta, is currently in training camp mainly preparing for his planned start in the Tour of Italy.
