The players, fans and officials of FC Bayern are very satisfied after the 1-0 victory against Arsenal FC and their qualification to the semi-finals of the Champions League. Bayern president Herbert Hainer especially praises Thomas Tuchel for his tactical masterstroke against the Gunners.

It is very strange: Bayern celebrates its coach, with whom it parted ways a long time ago. The Munich fans praise Thomas Tuchel after the 1-0 victory against Arsenal and qualification to the Champions League semi-finals.

There were surely quite a few Munich fans who were amazed by the starting eleven against Arsenal FC. Tuchel, surprisingly, chose Noussair Mazraoui as a replacement for the suspended Alphonso Davies on the left side of defence. The trained right back was one of Bayern's best players and not only showed a stable defensive performance against Bukayo Saka, but also repeatedly set the tone offensively.

In addition to Mazraoui, Tuchel dipped his hand for the second time into his bag of tactical tricks with Raphaël Guerreiro on the left offensive wing. He Portuguese He pushed the veteran Thomas Müller to the bench and played big.

Guerreiro repeatedly supported Mazraoui in his defensive tasks. The 30-year-old also made it 1-0 thanks to a perfect cross from Joshua Kimmich.

Hainer celebrates Tuchel: “It worked wonderfully”

Although in the first half Bayern were very defensive and often left the initiative to Arsenal, after the break they were much braver and were rewarded in the end with Kimmich's winning goal.

From the point of view of president Herbert Hainer, Thomas Tuchel played an important role in Bayern's passage to the semi-finals: “I was not afraid, Arsenal is a very strong team and has good control of the ball. But we resisted well. I think Thomas Tuchel did an excellent job today. It was a tactical masterstroke on his part.”

Hainer continued: “Putting Nous Mazraoui out on the left and doubling Saka with Guerreiro worked brilliantly.” Hainer celebrated Tuchel's performance after the victory against London. They were words that not many people expected weeks after the coach's separation.
