On Saturday evening, a car left the road in Borgentreich and crashed into a tree. Two girls aged four and ten died. The cause of the accident is still unclear.
ZTwo four- and ten-year-old girls died in a serious traffic accident in Borgentreich in the eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia. They were driving with their father, brother and another man in a car on Saturday night when the car went off the road to the right and hit a tree.
According to Sunday police, the reason was still unclear. The 35-year-old father, a 7-year-old boy and a 45-year-old passenger survived with serious injuries, according to the data. The girls died in hospital.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the driver. A blood sample was also taken from him.
