A woman from Bavaria contacts a fortune teller who makes increasingly astronomical demands for money over time. The woman becomes suspicious only late.

EA 38-year-old man from Bavaria allegedly cheated her out of several hundred thousand euros as a fortune teller. A 24-year-old woman allegedly involved in the fraud was arrested during a planned money transfer, Regensburg police said on Friday. The 38-year-old filed a complaint in Sulzbach-Rosenberg on Wednesday. A few weeks earlier, he had contacted an esoteric service advertised on a foreign TV station.

The woman gradually paid several hundred thousand euros for these services. After another six-figure claim, the woman became suspicious and contacted the police. He agreed with her that the money would be handed over at the show. A 24-year-old man was arrested when he picked up a car in a parking lot in a city.

Officials assume that the fraud is organized professionally by several individuals and that it was not an isolated incident. A 24-year-old man is being investigated on suspicion of commercial fraud. He is under arrest.
