After Joel Embiid already caught the attention of the NBA with an incredible 70 points on Tuesday night, now it's Luka Doncic's turn. The Dallas superstar finished his magical night with 73 points. Most points in NBA history by someone not named Wilt Chamberlain or Kobe Bryant.
Chamberlain scored 100 points in a game in 1962 and Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in a game in 2006.
“These names are special,” Doncic said after the game. “It's amazing. I feel special to be in this conversation with them.”
Interestingly, the game he'll remember took place in his former NBA home, although it was only a “home” for a few minutes.
Doncic was originally selected by the Hawks in the 2018 NBA Draft, but his draft rights were later traded to Dallas for Trae Young and a first-round pick.
