Manager Thomas Tuchel is upset by multiple leadership changes during his tenure at the club FC Bayern. When asked about the introduction of new sporting director Max Eberl, Tuchel said at the pre-match press conference in Freiburg: “We will see what effect this has. Today he will introduce himself to the team. “This is the third time we have rewrote the organizational chart since I have been here.”
The 50-year-old explained: “We made a big change in the last week of last season.” By this Tuchel was referring to the separation of then general director Oliver Kahn and former sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. “Then September 1st arrived. with Christoph Freund as new sports director. “Now it is March 1 and we have a new sporting director,” Tuchel said.
Tuchel: “He is not exempt from it”
Obviously, the coach is also concerned about the timing of the new additions to the Bayern board: “We are rewriting the organizational chart for the third time and for the third time just before a Bundesliga match. This is not without consequences.”
Tuchel, who will leave FC Bayern at the end of the current season, wants to concentrate fully on sport and made it clear: “We will try to focus completely on the game. We look forward to Max's full support, which we have been promised. We will face the coming months with full enthusiasm and passion. For me everything revolves around Freiburg. I am convinced that tomorrow we will win.”
Eberl was presented on Wednesday as the new sporting director of FC Bayern and explained his plan for FC Bayern's sporting future. However, Tuchel explained in the press conference that he did not follow Eberl's performance because he was training at the same time. “I didn't see it and I didn't read what he said,” Tuchel said briefly.
